Clearanced Bread + Leftover Taco Meat =

PIZZA BREAD!

Taco meat (ground beef, finely chopped onion, and garlic sauted with a packet of Sazon, a little cumin, some smokey paprika, pepper, salt, and sugar) leftover from yesterday worked out just fine for pizza bread tonight.  A while back, I’d frozen some rounds of bread that were marked down to only 79 cents. One round sliced into three rounds, and those rounds turned into pizza bread…

A little finely minced garlic, Mexican oregano, thyme, Italian herb mix, sugar, salt, and pepper in a bit of olive oil starts the sauce.  As the perfume from the herbs and garlic starts kicking in, add a can of tomato sauce and the leftover taco meat.  Mix together.  Once the sauce is warm, spoon it over each round slice of bread and spread it toward the edges from the center.  Cover each sauced round with shredded mozarella cheese and bake at 350 F until the cheese melts.  Enjoy!
